Derek Sakauye is a yonsei, born in Toronto. With more than a decade of IT consulting and entrepreneurial experience, he co-founded a software consulting startup and is a co-owner of Hockey Lion Inc., which specializes in sports retail, services and training. Derek has eaten his way through 26 countries and is passionate about social equity, cultural identity, ecology and sports within the community. Derek hopes his involvement with the Toronto NAJC inspires others to learn from past injustices and recognize those who fought for our rights and freedoms.
