Join us as Indigenous Peoples Month draws to a close.
The Toronto NAJC has made a donation to the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto (NCCT) to enable a special evening NCCT tour for Japanese Canadian community members and allies.
Learning together is a powerful way of building and experiencing community as well as demonstrating allyship as Japanese Canadians. The tour will cover the deep Canadian Indigenous cultural roots of Tkaronto (Toronto), Ishpadinaa (Spadina Road) and the 60+ years history of the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto.

5:30 PM Begin to meet in Cedar Basket Gift shop on the main floor. (shop closes at 6 PM)
6:00 to 7:30 PM Tour
16 Spadina Road (just north of Bloor)
For the enjoyment of all the size of the tour group is limited. There are 15 spaces remaining. .
What we’ll sxplore:
- The largest collection of Canadian Indigenous artwork in the city of Toronto
- Key phrases from the traditional languages used in the Tkaronto (Toronto) area
- Ongoingly open to the public traditional events
- Major local landmarks and historical events
- Traditional ceremonies and sacred practices
