New Years Eve at the Temple Bell

The Toronto NAJC is convening a sunset gathering at the Japanese Canadian Centennial Temple Bell at Ontario Place. It may be the final opportunity to ring the Temple Bell at its location in Ontario Place, The Toronto NAJC has been told that the Temple Bell will have to be moved in the spring of 2023 when infrastructure work on the west island of Ontario Place begins.

Please join us to see the recently replaced bronze plaque commemorating the installation of the Japanese Canadian Centennial Bell in 1977. A bell ringing ceremony in the Buddhist tradition will take place to start the new year and 108 guests will be invited to ring the bell. An RSVP is required to be included in the bell ringing.
